Women's Day March · Querétaro

Documentation of the 8M women's march in Querétaro, on assignment for Reuters. March 8, 2025.

The march set out from the Jardín Guerrero and returned to it, moving through the streets of the historic center.

The photographs move through the registers of the day: a contingent of women in white burning copal, a figure veiled in white whose long train filled with red handprints as others knelt to add their own, the pink crosses carried in memory of victims of femicide, and the gestures of care among the marchers.

The 8th of March is a date Vita Flumen has documented across several years. This Querétaro edition was made for Reuters.
